Radial type

Depending on radial pipes position the top collection and distribution assemblies may be of two types:

• assembly of duplicating type - the radial pipes are inclined as close as possible to duplicate the filter's elliptical bottom;
• assembly of horizontal type - the radial pipes are located horizontally.

The radial assembly provides for more uniform distribution of water flow across the filter area in comparison with the assembly of "cup-in-cup" type.

Assemblies of radial types are applied in the following types of filters: FIPa I, FSU, FUZH, and others.
