Regeneration filters (FR)
Purpose. Regeneration filter (FR) is designed for regeneration and washing of the used mixed cationite-anionite charge of a mixed-bed filter with remote regeneration of FISDNr.
Design description. Regeneration filters (FR) consist of:
The housing of the regeneration filter FR is cylindrical, welded of sheet steel, with welded elliptical stamped bottoms. Three supports are welded to the bottom for mounting the filter on the foundation.
Upper and lower bottoms have flanges welded in the center, to which outside along the filter front – pipes are to be connected, and inside – collection-distribution devices (NRU and VRU). The middle collection-distribution device (USSR) is located at the border line between cationite and anionite and has a side inlet.
In standard package regeneration filters most often come with upper collection-distribution device of the "cup in cup" design, lower drainage of "false bottom" type, middle collection-distribution device, which can be made of pipes with stainless steel or plastic slot caps.
Operation principle. The operation cycle of the regeneration filter consists of the following stages:
Hydraulic reloading of used ionite charge is carried out after the FISDNr filter is stopped for regeneration. Backwashing for ionites separation is carried out by an upward flow of desalted water through the lower distribution device. The border line runs along the axis of the collector of the middle collection-distribution device.
Observation of the ionite separation process is carried out visually through the inspection windows. Regeneration of cationite is carried out with 3% solution of sulfuric acid, regeneration of anionite is carried out with 4% solution of alkali. The alkali is fed to the regeneration filter through the upper distribution device, and the acid – through the lower distribution device.
Drainage of the regeneration solution occurs simultaneously through the middle collection-distribution device. Pre-washing of ionites is performed with desalted water according to the parameters set in the filter’s flow chart. Hydraulic loading of the regenerated ionite charge into FISDNr filter is performed after the end of pre-washing.
Specifications. Material of regeneration filter housing: stainless steel, carbon steel, low-alloy steel, composite materials (polyamide 6, reinforced polyester).
Material of internal devices: stainless steel 12H18N10T, 03H17N14M3 or 10H17N13M2T, PVC, CPVC, polypropylene, PVDF, titanium.
Diameter of the housing of manufactured FR filters: from 1600 to 2600 mm, working pressure: 0.6 MPa.
Protective coatings. A special anti-corrosion coating is applied to the filters’ inner surface, which contacts the working medium. The type and brand of coating is selected depending on the characteristics of the aggressive environment (epoxy, polyurethane, gumming with rubber, preserving primer, etc.). At the request of the customer, any coating available on the market can be applied.
The outer surface of the filters is coated with standard priming enamel. At the customer’s request, the outer surface can be painted in corporate colors and with the use of special protection against corrosion (ROSNEFT, SIBUR, GAZPROM, LUKOIL, etc.).
