Description

Quartz Sand /Activated carbon water Filter (FOV)
Purpose. Clarification filters (FOV) are designed to remove suspended impurities of various dispersity from water. The incoming flow is clarified because the contaminations stick to the surface and cavities of the filtering medium grains, and fill the free space between the particles of the material throughout the entire volume of the filter media.
Materials used as filtering medium in the clarification filters: quartz sand, crushed hydroantracite, burnt rocks, crushed gaize (ODM-2F), expanded clay, etc.
Design description. One-chamber clarification filters for mechanical water treatment FOV consist of:
The housing of the FOV filter is cylindrical, welded of sheet steel, with welded elliptical stamped bottoms. Three supports are welded to the bottom for mounting the filter on the foundation.
Upper and lower bottoms have flanges welded in the center, to which outside along the filter front – pipes are to be connected, and inside – collection-distribution devices (NRU and VRU).
In standard package FOV filters most often have upper collection-distribution device of the "dished overflow" design, lower drainage device of the "duplicating" or the "false bottom" type with stainless or plastic slot caps.
Operation principle. The filter cycle consists of the following stages:
The incoming flow under pressure enters the filter, is evenly distributed by the upper collection-distribution device and passes downwards through the layer of filtering medium. The suspended impurities are kept by the particles of the filter media, and the filtrate is discharged from the filter to the collector through the lower collection-distribution device. The operation cycle ends when one of the specified parameters is reached: pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the filter is more than 0.3 MPa (determined by the pressure gauge) or a certain amount of clarified water of the required quality is obtained.
At the end of the cycle, the filter is stopped, disconnected from the main pipes, and the flow of purified water comes upwards for blowback. Wash water is discharged into the drainage. To increase the efficiency of the blowback process, the filter media is backwashed upwards with compressed air. At the end of washing, the filter is switched on or remains in standby mode. Right after the filter is switched on, the first portion of the filtrate is discharged into the drainage.
The operation cycle of the FOV filter ends when one of the specified parameters of filtrate quality is exceeded and/or when the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet exceeds 0.3 MPa.
Two-chamber vertical quartz sand /activated carbon water Filter (FOV-2K)
Design description. Two-chamber vertical clarification filters FOV-2K consist of:
The housing of the FOV-2K filter is cylindrical, welded of sheet steel, with welded elliptical stamped bottoms, with a blind flat inter-chamber partition.
The flat partition dividing the housing of the vertical clarification filter FOV-2K into chambers is anchored with the upper elliptical bottom of the filter. Through anchor ties made of pipes, air is diverted from the lower chamber into the upper one. The internal pressure in the chambers is equalized, and both chambers are under common pressure. Lower and upper collection-distribution devices NRU and VRU have a side inlet
Operation principle. The filter cycle consists of the following stages:
The operation cycle of the FOV filter ends when one of the specified parameters of filtrate quality is exceeded and/or when the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet exceeds 0.3 MPa.
Specifications. Material of FOV filter housing: stainless steel, carbon steel, low-alloy steel, plastic (polyamide 6, reinforced polyester).
Material of internal devices: stainless steel 12H18N10T, 03H17N14M3 or 10H17N13M2T, PVC, CPVC, polypropylene, PVDF, titanium.
Diameter of the housing of the manufactured FIPa filters varies from 1000 to 3400 mm, capacity of the devices: from 8 to 180 m3 / h, working pressure: 0.6 MPa, 1.0 MPa and higher.
Protective coatings. A special anti-corrosion coating is applied to the filters’ inner surface, which contacts the working medium. The type and brand of coating is selected depending on the characteristics of the aggressive environment (epoxy, polyurethane, gumming with rubber, preserving primer, etc.). At the request of the customer, any coating available on the market can be applied.
The outer surface of the filters is coated with standard priming enamel. At the customer’s request, the outer surface can be painted in corporate colors and with the use of special protection against corrosion (ROSNEFT, SIBUR, GAZPROM, LUKOIL, etc.).
